- I upgraded my computer and need a link to download Acrobat Pro 9 MAC. I have my serial number but do not have my disc. Please help and send link. Thank you. My MacPro computer is slowly dying and I need to get going with Acrobat Pro 9.Unfortunately, Adobe has quit support of earlier version. They have a version of AA9 Pro for Windows posted, but not for the MAC as I understand it. You can try Adobe Acrobat X (10) Pro, Reader, and Suite Direct Download Links | ProDesignTools, but again I can only find PC versions. Someone may drop by with a link or you might see if anyone locally has the CD (that you could get the install file from). You will still need to use your original S/N.
- I purchased Acrobat Pro for Mac on Amazon. When I try to register with the registration code they give me, it doesn't work. (It has letters and the registration boxes won't accept letters.) How do I get this to work?If you don't have original install disks for your Mac, you can order replacements disks directly from Apple at a nominal cost. The original install DVDs are required to reset the password.
If you have no data on your drive that you want to keep, you can boot up from the OSX Snow Leopard disk and install OSX SL.
Insert the Snow Leopard DVD and hold the C key during startup. The Mac should boot from the CD/DVD drive into the installer.
Follow the prompts, erase the disk and install OSX Snow Leopard. - I just installed Acrobat Pro for Mac. I would like to set it up to go into the regular program home page (just like the windows based) instead of the 'getting started' window.Good day,
Choose Acrobat > Preferences. Click 'General'. Uncheck the 'Show welcome screen' option under Application Startup.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Kind regards,
David - Greetings! After 35 years in the Windows environment, I became the proud owner of a MacBook air last night, and I want to install Adobe Acrobat Pro for Mac on it. I would like to know if the features and functionality of the Mac version are the same as those on the Adobe Acrobat Standard that I have been using in my Windows environment for so many years.
The Windows version gives me everything I need, most importantly the ability to add text as annotations into documents that have been scanned and sent to me as PDFs, fill in forms, create forms, etc.
Additionally, can someone help me with the differences between the subscription version and the full purchase version? Does the subscription version have any problems, is it just as functional as the full purchase version?
Thank you so much all!
S.If you don't have a physical printer hooked up to your Mac you can still do the Save As Adobe PDF with a 'faux' printer setup. Here are the steps to set that up:
1. Go to Apple menu>System Preference>Printers and Scanners
2. Press the plus symbol button '+'
3. In the Add dialog select IP at the top
4. in the Address field put the numbers 127.0.0.1
5. In the Protocol pop-up menu make sure that Line Printer Daemon - LPD is selected
6. Leave the Queue field bland for the default printer
7. In the Name field it will say '127.0.0.1' and you can leave it to that or change it to anything you want.
8. Leave the Location field blank
9. Leave the Use field pop-up menu field at the default which is Generic PostScript Printer.
10. Click the Add button
11. You will get the message:
'Unable to verify the printer on your network.
Unable to connect to '127.0.0.1' due to an error.
Would you still like to create the printer?'
12. Click the Continue button.
13. In the Setting up '127.0.0.1...' dialog click the OK button
14. Open up TextEdit
15. Type some test text (e.g. Test Text)
16. In TextEdit Go to File>Print
17. In the Print dialog, press on the PDF button on the lower Left side of the window.
18. Select Save As Adobe PDF.
19. In the Save As Adobe PDF dialog, select your Adobe PDF Settings and whether or not you want the resulting PDF to open in Adobe Acrobat Pro and then click the Continue button.
20. In the Save window, title your PDF in the Save As: field, navigate to the location you want to save the PDF and then click the Save button.
21. Done. - Acrobat Pro for Mac won't start, even after restarting the machine. Any suggestions?Hi Patrick,
Can you please mention the version of Adobe Acrobat that you are using and on what OS version. Also mention whether this problem has started recently and was running fine earlier or is it a fresh install and has never worked for you.
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the product after you started facing this issue.
-Shashi - acrobat pro for mac won't launch. New install. Crashes and sends report to Apple.Hi jerrysalandro,
Can you please mention the version of Adobe Acrobat that you are using and on what OS version.
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the product after you started facing this issue.
-Shashi - I am using Mac OS 10.7.4. I currently have Acrobat Pro 9.5.1 on my system. I've been able to download the 9.5.2 upgrade successfully via the 'check for updates' link in the application and from also from the Adobe website.
The installer cannot install the update. The process begins but then I get a message that components have been disabled. The message refers me to Acrobat website for help to reingage components. Unfortunately, I was not able to find any such help through their not so user friendly website.
The alternative suggestion from the message was to uninstall the application, then reinstall it. I tried using the uninstaller that was in my Acrobat Pro folder, but when I opened the uninstaller, I got a message saying the installer was not for this application.
I have an installation disk to reinstall the program and I have no problem manually uninstalling the Acrobat Pro from the system, but I don't know what needs to be removed from where.
Anyone have any suggestions on what to try next?
I'm beginning to feel like this upgrade is just a gimmick to encourage people to upgrade to Acrobat Pro X.I was getting the same error: 'Insufficient data for image' and the document wouldn't open. But Foxit and Chrome read the files directly, with no problems.
On a Mac, the 9.5.2 upgrade works fine under Acrobat Pro 9!!
Do any of you run Kaspersky antivirus? When I ran the root kit scanner - is doesn't like some of the Adobe System files and will quarantine them – this only happened in July: This is when it quarantined some files that were authored by Adobe. This is when the updates to Adobe seemed to have stopped working properly?
I submitted the “quarantined” files to Kaspersky and they came back and said that the Adobe files allowed “trojan” like backdoor access to my PC - To get adobe working again I allowed them back into my system and took them out of Quarantine. The 9.5.2 update worked fine after this.
I thought it was a fault with Kaspersky 2011 until I updated to 2013 (last week) and the Root Kit scanner completely removed the registration for Adobe Acro 9....No opportunity to deactivate...program wouldn’t run with error messages about the registration of Acrobat Pro 9. I reinstalled the programme; it will run but cannot be upgraded from the DVD rom version
Now I’m struggling to get my Adobe product serial number reactivated. The Indian call centre tell me the retail serial number is invalid and not an Adobe serial at all, then I get told about 30 mins later in the same call the serial number is actually registered to someone else - they're just oxygen thieves...
The botom line was, that unless you bought from Adobe online, and they can track your purchase, you're on your own for support...
Ironically, when I first installed Acrobat 9 Pro back in 2010, the software installed fine, activated and I got a nice Welcome email message from Adobe, free downloads too - not much use though - perhaps this is one of those keep the product sales up schemes...you've had your two years time to buy an upgrade!.
I think these issues are linked up with the extreme piracy control that Adobe have implemented in their products - it's gone too far... - i bought adobe acrobat pro 9 in 2011 and have recently updated my mac, can i use my serial no. on more updated software or do i need to download acrobat 9 pro? if so how do i do that as there is no link for mac download?Normally this is how: Find a download link on Adobe.com
If you did buy a AVL license (volume license)the correct link is: http://licensing.adobe.com/
Good luck! - I am trying to convert a combination of PDF, Word and Excel files into a single PDF file, but the Word and Excel files/pages are being rejected. I have no trouble doing this on my Windows version of Acrobat Pro and wondering if the same functionality is available on the Mac version.Adobe built that feature for its enterprise customers because most of them use Outlook and Windows. They have lagged in providing similar support for Macintosh applications. I think that that support is still lagging, but they're starting to move in the right direction.
That feature is not yet supported. You can file a feature request if you like:
Adobe - Feature Request/Bug Report Form - I have been unable to download PDF's from trusted sites. While the file downloads, it will not open and is listed as unreadable. When I attempt to print to PDF docs are blank. If I simply attempt to print certain files they are blank as well. How can I fix this?
Jeremy MichelsWhat version of Acrobat Pro are you using? It's possible you may need to uninstall Acrobat (there is a link to the Uninstaller in the Applications/Acrobat Pro folder), then reinstall again. - I've had issues in the past with Acrobat Pro losing functionality after I've upgraded to a newer Mac OS. Hopefully this won't occur when Mac launches Yosemite. Any comments?I upgraded to Yosemite and I can no longer print 2D barcodes. I have deleted and updated all my print drivers, so it is an Acrobat Pro (11.0.9) problem.
- When I have a file opened in acrobat but then I try to open more files the program keeps crashing. It is very annoying and there are no updates available.Hi Jorge,
Do you see any error code when the program crashes?
Does this problem occurs with specifically Acrobat or with other applications too?

Rahul - I have purchased Acrobat X Pro some years ago and I have the serial number registered under my ADOBE Account.
I am expecting to be able to download Acrobat X Pro on my new machine and enter the Serial Number to activate it.
How to do this ?
Thanks for your help.Hi H Dahl,
If you have bought the software from Adobe online, then you can login to your Adobe account to get the download link.
Alternatively you can download Acrobat X for Mac from the direct download links available at : http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs5-5-direct-download-links.html
But make sure you follow the important steps mentioned on the page before initiating the download. - Hello,
I would like to download Acrobat 9 but there is no Mac version listed here (https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-8-9-product-downloads.html). Is there another place to download it from?
Thanks,

Sukrit Dhingra - What I mean is with my old Acrobat Pro for Mac, if I had a PDF that was 12 pages but only had comments on 3 pages, I could get a print out of the 3 document pages and the comments for those 3 pages.
ThanksFollowing EL will do what you want:
#{composerContext.inEditMode}In other words, the composerContext bean is available, even in a WebCenter Portal application. If you take a look at the default template (pagetemplate_globe.jspx) that is created when you create a webcenter portal application. On line 16, you see an example of the usage.
edit: sorry... Didn't see you meant the contribution mode...
Edit mode is by pressing ctrl+shift+e
ctrl+shift+c is called contribution mode...
I just looked at the source code of the content presenter taskflow and this is what they are using to show the dotted line:
inlineStyle='#{composerContext.subView 'contentContribution' ? 'border:2px dashed blue' : '}'>So I guess #{composerContext.subView 'contentContribution'} will return true if you are in contribution mode. This should work both in spaces as in framework.
Hope this helps.
